One of the nophead's movies on youtube show a nifty feature that I implement by adding the g-code manually to the file and I recon it would be easy for you to add to raft making... Thing is, before you start "drawing" the raft, you pause (with heater on, extruder on) for a "X" seconds 2cm from where the raft will start so you create a "bulge" of plastic there that will nicely stick to the print bed, and then start printing raft from there. That will in fact make the first base line 2cm longer with a "bulge" on the beginning of the line...
